President El-Sisi’s Directives to Government

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to the government following the cabinet reshuffle:

1- Reaffirming the pillars of the presidential directive issued to Dr. Moustafa Madbouly upon the formation of the government, as per Presidential Decree No. 258/ 2024, namely:

A- National Security and Foreign Policy.

B- Economic Development.

C- Production, Energy, and Food Security.

D- Society and Human Development.

2- Drafting a plan for each ministry that includes targets, procedures, implementation timelines, necessary funding, and key performance indicators. These plans will be subject to continuous monitoring and evaluation.

3- Prioritizing the Economic Group’s focus on continuously improving the economic situation. This will be achieved through the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs’ participation in developing future plans, coordinating among its members, ensuring harmony in their tasks, and monitoring performance. This is in light of the approaching end of the International Monetary Fund program at the end of this year and the shift towards reducing the public debt through new ideas that must be carefully studied to ensure the soundness of their procedures and their positive impact in both the short and long terms.

4- Continuing the implementation of the state ownership policy through concrete steps and increasing the participation of the private sector in the economic sector.

5. Exploring new sectors to support the economy, particularly technology, rare earth minerals, and related industries, and encouraging innovation by funding research and its application.
6. Sustainablely improving the education system in all its aspects, and according more attention to citizens’ health and facilitating access to treatment.

7. Upholding the values ​​of citizenship, equality, and non-discrimination, and encouraging participation in public affairs through transparent procedures that meet citizens’ aspirations. This includes fulfilling the constitutional requirement for local councils to achieve popular participation in monitoring the work of local administrative units and regulating their performance.

8. Placing utmost importance to public opinion and continuously providing facts through national media capable of reaching all segments of Egyptian society and delivering a professional and responsible discourse that fosters collective awareness in the face of challenges and spread of rumors. This is while promoting a culture of constructive dialogue, developing sound thinking skills, and respecting the opinions of others.
