Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with His Majesty King Frederick X of Denmark at the beginning of his state visit to the Kingdom of Denmark.
A high-level formal reception ceremony was held for President El-Sisi, in accordance with the established protocols for state visits.
The Egyptian national anthem was played, followed by a review of the Honor Guard.
The President then laid a wreath at the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, before proceeding with the King and Queen of Denmark to Amalienborg Palace in horse-drawn carriages.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said that the warm welcome and the grand reception extended to the President reflect the high regard in which Egypt and its leadership are held by the Kingdom of Denmark.
President El-Sisi expressed gratitude to His Majesty, the King of Denmark, for the warm welcome, emphasizing the significance of this visit as the first by an Egyptian president to Denmark.
The President also affirmed that the visit would strengthen relations between Egypt and Denmark at all levels.
