Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Nigerian President Bola Tinubu on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially the sectors of economy, trade, investment and health. This is in addition to exchanging expertise in combating terrorism and extremism.
The two presidents also discussed the peace and security situation in the African continent as well as ways to consolidate the pillars of continental peace and stability, and preserve the security, sovereignty, and independence of the continent’s countries. This is in addition to enhancing cooperation across all fields within the framework of the African Union, in a way that ensures the realization of the interests and aspirations of the peoples, contributes to the implementation of Agenda 2063, and pushes the continent towards development and prosperity.
