President El-Sisi Meets President of the Union of the Comoros

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the Union of the Comoros, Azali Assoumani, at Al-Ittihadiya Palace.

An official reception ceremony was held and the national anthems of both countries were played.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said that the two presidents held a closed-session of talks, followed by an expanded meeting attended by the two countries’ delegations.

The two sides reviewed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, and consulted on regional and continental issues of mutual interest.

The two Presidents witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding between the two countries, before holding a joint press conference.

President El-Sisi delivered a speech during a joint press conference.
