This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Dutch Prime Minister, Dick Schoof.
The call touched on ways to enhance bilateral relations, especially at the economic level, in light of the two countries’ keenness to boost their economic partnership and spur mutual investment opportunities, particularly in the fields of agriculture, water management, and industry, as well as cooperation in green hydrogen production.
President El-Sisi and the Dutch Prime Minister commended the level of bilateral relations across various domains and affirmed their determination to continue efforts to further advance joint cooperation.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the two sides discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, primarily the developments in the Middle East. The President and the Dutch Prime Minister agreed on the severity of the recent escalation in the region.
President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s persistent efforts to promote de-escalation and an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon. The President emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts, particularly by influential European powers, to halt the current escalation and engage in the two-state solution process, leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, with the aim of restoring regional stability and achieving sustainable security for all peoples in the region.
