Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, following the Iranian attack on Jordanian territories.
Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the President expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with and support for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan following the attack, stressing Egypt’s firm rejection and strong condemnation of any violation of the sovereignty, security, and stability of Arab states. The President underscored the gravity of such violations, which threaten to destabilize the security and stability of the entire region and risk dragging it into a state of chaos.
President El-Sisi discussed with King Abdullah II the developments of the military escalation unfolding in the region. The President reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast position, calling for resolving various regional crises through peaceful means and dialogue, emphasizing the dangers of escalation on regional and international security and stability.
For his part, His Majesty King Abdullah II expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance toward Jordan’s security and stability, noting the strong fraternal ties between the two countries. Both sides agreed to continue close consultation between the two nations to further enhance regional security.
