Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from King of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that the call touched on regional developments. President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts regarding the situation in Gaza. The two leaders emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of hostages and detainees, and the unconditional and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid. President El-Sisi and the King of Bahrain confirmed that calm in the Palestinian territories is fundamental to restoring regional stability.
The two leaders also discussed developments in Lebanon and Syria, reiterating their commitment to maintaining the stability, unity, and territorial integrity of both countries.
The President and HM King Hamad warned against the further expansion of the conflict and the potential devastation of prospects for peace and security in the region and the resources of its peoples.
President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to the security of the Gulf countries as an integral part of the Arab national security system.
The call also reviewed ways to enhance bilateral relations across all sectors, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, and investment.
President El-Sisi and the King of Bahrain underscored the crucial need for solidarity among the countries in the region to address the current economic crises emanating from regional instability, given the new challenges and threats posed by these successive crises. They stressed that these challenges necessitate strengthening coordination and collaboration among the countries of the region.
