We agreed on the need to increase the rates of trade exchange and to bolster ties between the private sectors in the two countries. We also agreed on the priority of implementing infrastructure projects in Gabon, including the construction of new roads, and projects in the fields of electricity and sanitation, with the aim of supporting development efforts in Gabon.
In addition, we agreed to strengthen Egypt’s support for Gabon in the health sector and the creation of opportunities for the use of Egyptian medicine in the Gabonese market.
Also, we emphasized the importance of enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of agriculture, renewable energy, industry, transportation, and in the capacity building of the Gabonese cadres.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
President Nguema and I exchanged views on various regional issues and the efforts of the two countries to establish security and stability in their regional surroundings.
We agreed on the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on these issues so as to ensure achieving peace and security in the African continent.
