Election Authority: The Voters turnout rates approached 45%

alhadath – cairo

Judge Ahmed El-Bandari, the Executive Director of the National Election Authority and Head of the Central Operations Room, announced that the turnout in the presidential elections until noon today had reached approximately 45% of the total eligible voters. He pointed out the high voter turnout at polling stations across all governorates, especially at the non-resident polling stations, which numbered around 360 nationwide. Due to the heavy turnout, some of these stations ran out of voting cards, and additional cards had to be supplied.
It is noted that non-resident polling stations have been established in every governorate, with at least one station per governorate. These stations facilitate voting for expatriate workers in these areas who are away from their residences during the voting days. They are primarily located in industrial, commercial, and tourist areas, as well as in major cities. The locations of the non-resident polling stations were determined in collaboration with various relevant bodies, including the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the Ministry of Local Development, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The Head of the Central Operations Room at the National Election Authority noted that the electoral process across all polling stations in the country proceeded smoothly without any difficulties or obstacles for voters. This was achieved with the full cooperation of citizens and relevant electoral bodies, confirming the efficiency of the logistical arrangements that were made under full judicial supervision, which saw the participation of more than (15,000) judges nationwide.
