Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in an informal tea reception in Oslo,Norway, in response to an invitation from the Prime Minister of Norway, Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre.

This reception was held in honor of President El-Sisi at the start of his visit to Norway as part of his European tour.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said that the tea reception organized by the Norwegian prime minister reflects Norway’s appreciation for Egypt and the President. It is worth noting that it is an uncustomary gesture by the Norwegian prime minister to host any event for a foreign official during the weekend. The prime minister also made it a point to host the tea reception at his residence.

The Norwegian prime minister welcomed President El-Sisi, expressing pride in this historical visit, which marks the first time for an Egyptian president in Norway. He conveyed deep respect for the President.

President El-Sisi expressed gratitude for this kind gesture from the Norwegian Prime Minister, seeing it as a positive sign for the promising future of the relationship between the two friendly countries.
