President El-Sisi Speaks with Amir of State of Qatar

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President affirmed Egypt’s categorical rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Qatar. The President expressed the full support of both the Egyptian government and people for the State of Qatar and its complete solidarity with its brothers in the Gulf states in light of the current developments. President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s readiness to provide all necessary support to preserve the security and stability of the Gulf countries and explained that Egypt is exerting intensive endeavors at the regional and international levels to stop the war as soon as possible, praising Qatar’s role in de-escalating tensions and safeguarding regional stability.

The Amir of the State of Qatar expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the President for his continued solidarity with the State of Qatar and all the Gulf states, especially under the current circumstances. He affirmed that Qatar continues to coordinate with Egypt and brotherly countries to avoid further escalation and end the war at the soonest time.

President El-Sisi stressed that Egypt and the Gulf states share a common destiny, and that Egypt views Gulf national security integral to Egyptian national security, emphasizing the need to strengthen joint action to confront and overcome current challenges, and to activate the concept of collective Arab national security to ensure confronting any attacks targeting Arab countries.
