Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, said President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and all the Gulf states in confronting current challenges. The President emphasized that the security of the Arabian Gulf is integral to Egypt’s national security, and that Egypt will not hesitate to offer all forms of support to safeguard regional stability. The President stressed that Egypt would continue exerting intensive efforts at the international and regional levels to halt escalation and create conditions conducive for restoring security and peace.
The Amir of Kuwait valued Egypt’s steadfast position in support of Gulf security and expressed his deep appreciation to President El-Sisi and his keenness to futher enhance coordination and consultation between the two countries so as to serve the interests of the Arab nation and prevent the expansion of conflicts.
The call addressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab cooperation and activating the concept of collective national security to ensure the protection of Arab states from external threats and to strengthen Arab unity in the face of regional and international challenges.
