Hurghada International Airport received this morning the first EGYPTAIR flight coming from the Russian capital, Moscow, with 300 Russian tourists on board, marking the return of Russian tourism to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh.
The plane was received by the tradition of spraying water upon its arrival to Hurghada airport, and passengers were received with flowers and souvenirs. Also, Sharm El-Sheikh Airport will receive tomorrow the first EGYPTAIR flight coming directly from Moscow.
“EGYPTAIR operates, for the first time, regular direct flights between Moscow and both Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh airports, coinciding with the decision to resume operating tourist flights between Egypt and Russia, in addition to our daily flights between Cairo and Moscow. This contributes to providing new services and travel options that will attract more travelers and tourists from Russia to Egypt,” said Capt. Amr Abu-Elenin, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR HOLDING Company.
“EGYPTAIR will operate four direct flights per week from Moscow to Hurghada, and three direct flights per week from Moscow to Sharm El-Sheikh using Airbus A330-300, whose capacity is 301 passengers per flight, in order to accommodate the expected volume of Russian tourists to Egyptian tourist destinations,” he added.
