Alhadath – cairo
Ambassador Diab Al-Louh, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Cairo and its permanent representative to the Arab League, praised Egypt’s organization of the first Cairo Construction Hub for Urbanism Partners that starts in Cairo this June under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in the presence and participation of a number of ministers, ambassadors and owners of major companies in Egypt, and thanked those in charge of the Hub for the kind invitation.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo added in a press statement that, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, on behalf of the Palestinian people and on his own behalf, they all express their thanks and gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who launched this specific initiative for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and allocated 500 million dollars to complete and implement the reconstruction to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people who were subjected to the brutal Israeli aggression against the Strip, which has caused great damage to electricity, water, sewage and roads, in addition to the destruction of homes and displacement of about 70,000 Palestinian citizens.
He explained that the Palestinians consider this initiative to be of great importance because it is the first one launched by Egypt for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and we also called on the Arab and Islamic countries and the international community to build on this initiative and contribute with Egypt in the reconstruction of Gaza. Indeed, at a later time, Qatar announced the allocation of 500 million dollars also for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and Kuwait opened a fund of one hundred million dollars for the reconstruction of the Strip.
Ambassador Diab Al-Leouh, on behalf of the State of Palestine, thanked those in charge of the first Cairo Construction Hub for Urbanism Partners, which is considering a preliminary concept for the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian ambassador stressed the importance of the participation of Egyptian companies in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, as they are well-established companies with great experience in the fields of construction, especially in infrastructure projects and road sectors and also in the fields of the construction of bridges. These companies play a successful, effective and swift role in the return of the Gaza Strip.
Ambassador Diab Al-Louh praised the role of the strong Egyptian banking sector led by Tarek Amer, governor of the Central Bank, who achieved great success during the stages of reforming the Egyptian economy and the Egyptian government’s program to reform the economy, as Amer and his men were able to cross the Egyptian economy to safety in the darkest circumstances that passed in the world under wise political leadership. In addition to supporting the banking sector for the various sectors of the Egyptian state, especially the real estate sector, which was evident in the construction of new cities, and this is in fact a source of pride not only for Egyptians, but rather for us in Palestine and all Arab countries. This indicates that the Egyptian state is a deep state and it is capable of facing challenges.
He pointed out that the Egyptian companies benefited from the support provided by the Egyptian government and the Central Bank of Egypt, as well as the markets that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened to these companies, especially in Africa, which enabled these companies to gain more experience and have a great deal of experience in the field of construction and infrastructure. Therefore, it can be said that Egypt, under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has achieved a great urban renaissance, not only in Egypt, but in African countries as well.
He noted the extent of the Palestinians’ love for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting that the whole world has seen pictures of the president that fill all roads in the Gaza Strip, and this indicates that the Palestinian people welcome President Sisi’s initiative, and also welcome the role of Egyptian companies to rebuild the Gaza Strip.
Ambassador Diab al-Louh revealed that the government of the State of Palestine is now working, under the direction of the President and the Palestinian leadership, to conceptualize and designate an official specialized body responsible for communicating with all Arab and international parties that have expressed their willingness to participate in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and here we must emphasize that the beginning of coordination, communication and consultation will be through the Arab Republic of Egypt, the owner of the initiative to reconstruct the Gaza Strip, and also the one who held this important Construction Hub.
