President El-Sisi Participates in the G7 Summit in the French City of Évian

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is participating in the G7 Summit of leading industrial countries, scheduled to be held under the French Presidency of the group from June 15 to 17, 2026, in the French city of Évian.

The summit will see the participation of heads of state and government from the G7 member nations, alongside leaders from invited partner countries, including Egypt. Also in attendance will be the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, and the heads of several prominent international and regional organizations.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the summit meetings are scheduled to address a number of key issues. These include boosting global economic growth, exploring avenues to resolve international geopolitical crises, and mitigating their repercussions on trade, energy, and supply chains. Discussions will also focus on accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as advancing international cooperation in the fields of digitization and Artificial Intelligence, AI.

Ambassador El-Shennawy noted that the President’s participation in this summit marks Egypt’s second attendance at a G7 summit. Egypt participated for the first time in the summit held in the French city of Biarritz in August 2019, during Egypt’s presidency of the African Union.

The Spokesman for the Presidency confirmed that Egypt’s participation in the summit underscores its pivotal role in advancing development and stability efforts in the Middle East. During the summit, President El-Sisi is scheduled to hold a multitude of bilateral meetings with participating world leaders on the sidelines of the summit, prominently featuring a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump.
