Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke over the phone with Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the two leaders focused on current regional developments. President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s full and unequivocal solidarity with and support for the Sultanate of Oman, reiterating that the security and stability of the Sultanate, as well as that of all Arab nations, constitute an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
The President underscored the imperative need to strengthen efforts toward de-escalating regional tensions. In this regard, President El-Sisi lauded the constructive role undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman and reviewed Egypt’s ongoing endeavors to achieve the same objective. The President stressed the importance of preserving peace and stability in the Middle East, avoiding escalation, and resolving the current crisis through peaceful means.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s unshakable stance in support of the Sultanate of Oman, as well as Egypt’s tireless efforts to de-escalate tensions and resolve regional crises through peaceful means. His Majesty lauded the profound fraternal relations binding the two countries and their peoples, underlining shared keenness on fostering closer ties. The two leaders agreed to hold intensive political consultations and coordination with regard to various regional issues, including ways to restore and sustain regional stability.
